Hello all,

First, I wanted to give a quick thank you to those who attended our Association Meeting/Family Game Night last night. It's always great to see families having a fun time doing something as simple as playing board games.

Please mark you calendars for Tuesday, March 15th. This is the next association meeting and is very important as we will hold PTA Executive Board Election. If you would like to take on a bigger roll or be part of a committee, please plan to attend this meeting, we need your help. The next board meeting isFebruary 4th, if you'd like to attend and see how things go, please let us know and/or be at the Parent Center @ 6:30pm.

Now on to shopping...

S.H.A.R.E.S cards are useable if you shop at Save Mart, Luckys, Food Maxx and S-Mart Foods. Simply swipe the card and Palma Ceia PTA will receive 3% back on qualifying purchases. Cards are available in the office with Evelyn. If you are unable to make it into the office, please with your name, child's name and teacher/room # and we will have one delivered to your child to bring home to you.

Target Stores have a Take Charge of Education program. If you have a Target Red Card, you can attach Palma Ceia Elementary School to it by going to Target will donate 1% of your purchases to the school. has the Amazon Smiles program that donates .5% of eligible purchases to Palma Ceia PTA. Simply go to and register your account. Search Palma Ceia PTA and it will pop up as PTA California Congress of Parents Teachers & Students Inc. Select as your charity and that's it. Each time you want to shop amazon, go to the link above and we will receive a donation on your behalf.

While 3%, 1% and .5% may not seem like much, its does add up. We have teachers and 500+ students whose parents spend their hard earned money in the community, to raise our families. Wouldn't it be nice to get some of that back to support our school?

Also, please feel free to share this information with family and friends. Anyone can sign up for these programs, even grandma who lives in Virginia, can help the Palma Ceia students. If you have additional suggestions as to how the PTA can raise funds for the things Palma Ceia families do everyday, please share.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

Sincerely, Your Palma Ceia PTA Executive Board
